Video Web Conferencing Can Make Any Business Super Profitable

The problem is that very few businesses are yet to realize the full potential of video web conferencing. This is one amazing communication tool that can help any business to greatly enhance profits.

While conference calls have been with us a long time, quality video web conferencing has brought in a whole lot of brand new exciting features as well as dramatically decreasing the cost of the whole thing.

What exactly is video conferencing? Video conferencing uses telecommunications with both audio and video to bring people at different sites together for a virtual meeting. This can either happen between 2 people or involve several sites scattered all over the world. Apart from the audio and visual transmission of people, video conferencing can also be used to share documents and a wide range of computer-displayed information.

Here are a number of video conferencing call keys that you can use to unlock your business profits, whatever business you are in;

Key One: Use Video Conferencing To Reach Markets That Were Previously Unreachable

The world is at your feet if you can master the use of this wonderful communication tool. It can enable you and your business to reach markets that were previously unreachable and unviable to work. Just start off holding regular Video web conferencing events. Advertise them on you business website and even in sites that reach those exciting new markets. Then use the amazing reach of the web to communicate and get intimate with those new markets. The impact on your bottom line in increased sales is bound to be felt almost immediately.

Key Two: Ruthlessly Cut Down On Your Costs

Meetings are much more costly than most entrepreneurs seem to realize. Even setting them up in the first place can prove to be quite a headache when you want to take into consideration various different people's busy schedules to get everybody there. Why not favor conference calls? With video and audio capabilities as well sharing documents, computer-displayed information and whiteboards you have everything that you would ordinarily have had in a physical meeting and probably a little more.

Only a good cost accountant can help you understand the cost cuts involved here. They say that time is money only that this is not even quite accurate simply because no amount of money can buy back lost time. Imagine the kind of time all participants will save by not having to move from their desks or workstations? You will soon realize that it is not easy to translate the time saved by all into money. In other words you will end up with huge savings all round.

Key Three: Use Online Conference Calls To Cash In On The One On One Marketing Advantage

You can write to a prospect, talk to them on the phone or go and see them. Everybody knows that there is nothing quite as effective as the personal touch that can only be experienced by your physical presence with the prospect. The only problem is that in many instances time and logistics just doesn't allow it. Well, not anymore because you can do the next best thing and use video conferencing features to visit many prospects at the same time and give them a cozy briefing of exactly what it is that your company has to offer them. (Continued)

Six Ways Video & Web Conferencing Can Benefit Your Business

Are you really using the power of modern technology to make your business more profitable? Sure, you are using e-mail, you have a web page and you may be reaching your clients and customers with an electronic mailing list, but are you using web and video conferencing to hold virtual meetings with your employees, customers and clients in different geographical locations? Here are six ways how web and video conferencing can help you to increase the efficiency of your enterprise.

First however, it is important to know what web and video conferencing are. Web conferencing is when two or more people "meet" over the Internet to share information and ideas. Web conferencing systems typically provide tools that allow participants to perform "Online Collaboration" by working together over the Internet, sharing applications and documents.

Some web conferencing tools include the ability to share one's desktop, allowing participants to "present" information, be it a PowerPoint Presentation, an Excel Spreadsheet or a Word Document with other attendees of their web conference. It is even possible for participants to remotely control other participants' computers. Video conferencing allows participants to see and hear each other using head sets and web cams, and is usually included in good web conferencing system.

Now take a look at how some companies are already getting the benefits of this cutting- edge technology:

1. They are holding "web meetings" with prospects, customers, clients and fellow workers without having to incur any travel expenses. These face-to-face meetings are conducted using the click of a keyboard and the movement of a mouse.

2. They are demonstrating and supporting products and services without having to send people to far-flung destinations. Web conferencing can enable your staff to get behind the desk of your client and do the trouble shooting or give the training that you may be currently doing, without having to send your support staff out on expensive personal visits.

3. They are holding virtual training and classrooms for students, employees and clients. Schools and Universities in particular are using web and video conferencing to create "virtual classrooms," while companies are training their employees at several locations using combined web and video conferences.

4. They are giving online web and video support to clients. Live chat boxes are great, I use them all the time, but the support you can offer when your technician can take over a client's computer and really fix the problem is much more powerful. And, when your client can see who is helping him or her, it really adds a special "warm and fuzzy" touch.

5. They are saving thousands of dollars in travel costs by cutting down on commuting and travel and time spent out of the office. "As a result of this technology, our need to travel between offices has been greatly reduced, which has already saved us thousands of dollars," says Saul Rothschild, Information Systems Manager at Steel Encounters, Inc."

In times of rising fuel costs, web and video conferencing can really make a huge difference to a company's bottom line. Companies using web conferencing are not only able to cut down on their travel expenses, but their sales representatives, trainers and support staff also get to spend more productive time in the office and do not lose valuable hours sitting in a car or on a plane.

6. They are thinking "outside the box" and devising new ways to work now that they are free of geographical limitations. The companies and organizations that have adopted web and video conferencing technology are marketing products and services, conducting training and giving support as if all their employees, prospects and clients were working together under one roof. Company meetings, sales meetings, employee training, and product launches are now being conducted with a new 21st Century flair.

So, consider your own business or activity and think of how web and video conferencing could help you to work more effectively with all your constituents without having to leave your office.

Five Ways Web Conferencing Can Help You Sell More Products

When it comes to business, any new technology will ultimately be judged on how well it contributes to improving productivity and profit. If you are selling goods or services, online web conferencing can improve your bottom line by boosting sales and lowering costs. Here are five reasons why this is so:

    1. It allows you to meet with more prospective clients

If you have to physically travel to a client's office or location, there is only so much that you can do within any given period. Let's face it, travel is exhausting and expensive not only in terms of the direct costs that you make when you travel, but also in the way that your productivity is affected every time you have to pack up and leave your office.

You can meet with more clients online than you could ever do by trying to visit them all physically. Web conferencing is one of the best ways to get this work done.

    2. Online Conferencing allows your prospects to put a face with the voice over the phone

A lot of selling is done on the telephone, and some people are very effective with a simple telephone. If you are able to sell on the phone, think of what you could achieve if your prospects and clients could see you by simply opening their browser and entering a few mouse clicks and keystrokes! People prefer to deal with people, rather than faceless voices. Video conferencing allows you to project your warmth and sincerity and will enhance whatever selling skills you already possess.

    3. Conferencing allows you to get together with more decision makers

Many purchasing decisions require the input of more than one person, and web conferencing allows you to get all the decision makers together in one meeting. For example, suppose John in New York wants you to also meet with Lisa in London, you can do so very easily. Instead of trying to arrange a face-to-face meeting, you simply have to get all parties together in a web meeting.

Easily arranged online conferencing means that you will be able to shorten the time necessary to close complex transactions involving the input of several parties.

    4. Online conferencing enables you to sell more "add-on" products to your existing clients by giving you the ability to be in a meeting with them at any time and within minutes.

The more time you spend with any prospect, the more opportunity you have to build your rapport and to explain in detail what you have to offer. Someone who contacts you for a simple service, upon getting to know you well online, will probably go on to purchase your other offerings. If that prospect is limited to a short phone call, the chances of selling them something else is far less than it is with them seeing you.

    5. Web conferencing allows you to offer better after-sales service

Customers are not only interested in what you are selling today, but on what kind of service you will be able to offer them tomorrow. Web conferencing opens up great service opportunities. For example, your technicians can "visit" your clients online. Some conferencing applications even allow a person in one office to remotely "take over" and operate a computer in another office.

When your prospective clients and customers understand that you have the capacity to remain in touch with them and help them online, they will have one more reason to want to buy from you.

Once you try your hand at it, you will probably be able to add a few more points to this list by devising new ways to improve sales with online web and video conferencing.

Online Web Conferencing - Your Ticket to Saving Money and Time!

If you are in any sort of business that requires you to be in contact with large numbers of people, who are very often geographically far apart, you need to look into online web conferencing as a way of bridging the distance between you. Basically web conferencing involves two or more parties connected via the Web, able to share files and audio, (and sometimes video) content. Web conferencing software has come to the point where it is so easy to schedule and hold meetings online, that it obviates the need for a great deal of the travel and associated expenses that were previously the norm.

Today, people can connect via web meetings that can be scheduled and setup in just a few minutes, coming in very handy when you need to get something done fast. Imagine being able to hold a fast meeting with a client on the other side of the country, or in a different country, for that matter, at the drop of a hat. Your productivity soars!

Not to mention the benefit to you bottom line! Dramatically decreased travel, accommodations, and other expenses that come with having to go or send someone to another city to conduct business. Now they (or you) are fully able to stay where you need most to be, and still get the job done!

So what are some of the features of web conferencing services these days? Here is a short list.

Easy Scheduling - You can set up a conference in minutes, or schedule them well in advance.

Multiple Moderators - You can have more than one presenter, and shift the presentation to their computer as well.

Large Audiences - You can host web meetings and webinars for hundreds to thousands of attendees.

Desktop Sharing - Your attendees see what you want them to see. They are able to view your desktop in real time.

File Sharing - There is also usually a handy file sharing capability.

Instant Messaging and Live Chat - Sometimes useful when you need to speak to one person in particular.

VOIP Technology - Allows your attendees to access your meeting or webinar from all over the world, via their computer.

Mac or PC - Works on either!

Recordings - Archived calls make great training tools or sales aids for those unable to attend the original presentation.

Reporting Features - See who came, how many, and other useful stats.

Online web conferencing has many uses, but you need to get going to see how they can best benefit you and your business. Don't let this technology get past you!

Why Video & Web Conferencing Are Heading Towards Mass Acceptance

The time is right for video and web conferencing to take off. While online conferencing is still seen as a technological novelty by some people, more and more businesses of all sizes are finding it be the solution to doing business and communicating with prospects, clients, employees and branch offices in an era of rising transport costs. Let's take a look at some of the factors that are bringing web and video conferencing to a very wide audience.

    1. Bandwidth speeds are increasing while prices for broadband web access are falling. Video and web conferencing are more effective when users have broadband access to the Internet. Prices for various broadband connections to the Internet (DSL, Cable, T1s) are falling and more and more homes and businesses are now connected by broadband rather than dial-up connections. Broadband penetration in the US among home users has reached 60% and, especially crucial for online conferencing, in the workplace broadband usage has passed 85%.

    2. Web cameras are more powerful and less costly

Video conferencing is aided by good images. Just as high speed connections to the Internet are needed to view the videos, improved cameras providing clear images are also important. The least expensive web cameras today cost as little as $10 and even sophisticated tripod-mounted cameras are reasonably priced, placing video conferencing within the reach of millions of users.

    3. The price of oil and transportation is rising, and business travel is more costly. Rising energy prices means that businesses have to scrutinize their travel plans more closely. Video and web conferencing make it possible to hold meetings with staff in other cities without making expensive car or airplane journeys. In addition, some companies are also using web and video conferencing to meet new clients and provide service to existing clients. Improved video conferencing capabilities, combined with rising travel costs is a sure formula for online conferencing growth in the years ahead.

    4. Businesses are improving productivity with online conferencing. The gains provided by online conferencing are more than just the money saved by not buying gasoline for a car or spending it on airfares. When you sit in your own office and hold an online conference with associates in distant cities, you can get back to your other work within seconds of the close of the online conference. The lost time out of office, associated with business trips, is an important "opportunity cost" that can be reduced by the creative use of web and video conferences.

    5. The cost of web and video conferencing has come down greatly in the past year. Web and video conference services are now less costly than they were a few years ago and it is possible for a business to get a much higher return on their investment in online conferences. Monthly costs for some conferencing services are so low that even families and individuals can connect in informal web conferences. At the same time, for a reasonable price, businesses can even purchase their own internal video/web conferencing system and not depend on web conference services provided by an outside provider.

    6. Schools and universities are holding online classes, exposing a whole new generation to the world of online conferencing. The surest way of spreading any new technology is to get young people "hooked" on it. And that is exactly what schools and universities are doing with web and video conferencing. By holding more online classes and conferences, young people are becoming comfortable with this way of communicating. As today's students enter the business and professional world, they are certain to bring with them a taste for the convenience of online conferencing.

Add up all these factors and it is easy to see why web and video conferencing are approaching the level of mass acceptance. If you are not taking advantage of online conferencing today, there is a good chance that you will be tomorrow.

Beyond the Boardroom - Video and Web Conferencing For All - Part 2

In a recently published article Beyond the Boardroom: Video and Web Conferencing for ALL - Part 1, we listed five industries outside of the boardroom who are taking full advantage of online communication tools to save time, money and increase productivity. Here are five more industries who are thinking "outside the box":

    Judicial System

From conducting client depositions to allowing remote witness testimonies, the justice system is using video and web conferencing to cut back on legal costs and shorten the lifecycle of trials. The prison system is benefiting from it's use as well by allowing high risk prisoners to appear in court remotely, reducing the possible safety hazards of transporting them. Other ways the judicial system is using video and web conferencing include remote hearings and arraignments, as well as prisoners meeting with friends and family members without anyone having to travel to the prison or jail to see them.

    Manufacturing

Today's society moves fast; people want things now and don't have the patience to wait. Video and web conferencing has allowed the Manufacturing Industry to reduce production time, ultimately resulting in reducing the time it takes for a product to get into the hands of the public. This is made possible by allowing manufacturers to speed up product feedback, increase quality control and bring together teams of developers, designers and vendors, all located in different areas throughout the world..

    Healthcare Services

It used to be common practice for doctors to make house calls, but as society grew and technologies changed, it became normal for patients to visit doctors in their office. Video and web conferencing has allowed doctors to bring back the house call, making their patient visits more personal. Doctors are now able to conduct medical consultations, get advice from fellow physicians, monitor patients and offer support to patients without leaving the comfort of their office. In addition, hospitals are using video and web conferencing to help train future physicians by allowing them to go online and observe surgeries as they are taking place.

    Media Relations

Journalists and news reporters use video and web conferencing to expand their reach into the public, giving them an international appearance. They are hosting video press conferences and conducting web based interviews without having to travel to locations around the world.

    Interpreting and Sign Language Service

Communication is a prominent issue facing individuals who are hearing impaired. Video and web conferencing has given these individuals a tool which allows communication barriers to be broken down. Interpreter services can now use video and web conferencing to communicate with those who are hearing impaired. This works especially well in a classroom setting where interpreters act as an advocate for students, staff and parents, giving equal access to education for everyone.

As the popularity of video and web conferencing grows, more and more industries will begin to adopt this technology, making it a "must have" necessity to doing business.
